Jam’iyah reached out to KakiRepair to collaborate and rescue flood victim’s items from the recent KL flood. We were surprised to find out that even in the heart of the city, the flood levels were above 1m high! It was a perfect timing, the weekend before CNY holidays and also the launching of The Campervan KakiRepair.

More than 95% of the flooded appliances were managed to be revived. Some needed additional parts and some required some special tools to get the jobs done. Tools were provided by volunteers however after some discussion with JAM’IYAH, we will be working on a more sustainable effort to make this place an ongoing repair hub for committee members and residence around the area to use the space and tools to do their own repairs.
